Zoas reaching = need more light?

So, I have converted back to LEDs. It has been a while since running them.

Without a par meter, and no experience with my current fixture, I ramped the lights up to a fairly conservative level for the last week. My zoas, that I keep on the sand bed are "reaching". It seems my experience is telling me that I need a little more light.

So I have bumped the light adjustment up a little.

Sound logical?

That's the case. I had some that were in a lower light tank when I bought them and they were reaching but after being in high light they went back down. Also took some out of my tank and put them in my sons nano with lower light and overtime they started reaching

My lord of the rings are reaching out by at least an inch. I am going to try and up my lighting a little and see if it helps
