1 Overflow, HELP

Ok, i have a back drilled tank with a 1" overflow, and the return lets out into the front of my display sump. How can I stop bubbles from being sucked into the return and spit out into the sump? Maybe a hole in the elbow right outside the tanks overflow?
Anyone have any experience?? please help!:bash2:

It's difficult to picture what is going on from your description. Can you take and post pictures?

I went ahead and added a baffle to stop the bubbles, solved 99% of the problem!
