10 gallon, my first tank.

Hey guys, not an offical ARC member yet, but I will be soon! I was able to get a 12 gallon nano off craigslist. It was in horible condition, all the corals were bleached, tank was nasty. I cleaned it up, but ended up not liking the look of it. I had a spare 10 gallon laying around, so I took the pump out of the nano, put a peice of mesh on the intake, and am using it as my temporary powerhead. I have a small HOB with live rock and do very frequent water changes. I made a modified light from the non stock lighting that came with the nano. Very.. um.. gettho, but im waiting till next month to geta nice light, preferably a led strip. My biggest problem is evaporation, I have to add freshwater twice a day, as it doesn't have a lid on it right now.

The engineer goby will get to large for your tank. They can grow up to 10-12 inch I believe. I remember my first tank was a little frustrating because there were so many cool fish that I couldn't get because they would get too big :yuk:
My favorites that I could put in my nano and that I would recomend are a shrimp goby and pistol shrimp pair
or
a pair of yellow clown gobies
or
a firefish
or
a jawfish

I like watching them too. They have cool personalities. If you want a fancier nano fish once you rehome him you could also get a helfrichi firefish or a blue spot jawfish; they're really pretty and are fun to watch
