I am picking up a 100g tank stand light and lid on Friday so I figured I would start a build thread and try to get some advise. I have never done a tank this big and plan on taking my time with it to get it just right. First off it does not come with any filtration so what should I run? I have a 29 reef right now that I will be breaking down and selling if interested in buying my 29g pm me for details and pricing. Pics will be posted on friday of new tank and set up.

Ya but I really wanna do a 100 gallon. I mean I'm not too close to my budget yet but I know that is a great deal.

Step #1, walk out front door.
Step #2, turn right and walk down 2 door.
Step #3, knock on door. I'll open up and tell you who locally can probably drill it for ya.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Haha I will have to do that frank. And also I don't quite know if its tempered yet or not I will know more details later on in the week.

Having some set backs on getting my new tank hopefully i will be picking it up on Wednesday.

Well things just don't seem to be falling into place for me just yet. Anyone have a 100g + tank for sale for cheap?

If you get a 100 that long... its gonna be naaarrrrroooow. If you're looking at something 72 in long, you need to at least go with a 180. You'll thank me for the added depth. If you just want something bigger than a 75 go with a 120. Awesome dimensions.

What is that weird word you used budget? I don't think you can use that word and still keep a tank unless it is a very BIG budget.

Not too big of a budget but still have one haha. Managed to snag a tank finally was able to get one for cheap!! It's not ad big as I wanted to make it but it will work till I upgrade again. Now time to finally start my build!

I have to figure out how to post pics from my phone any one know how to?? And I got a tank that is a little over 80 gallons. The dimensions are 48x22x18 if I I did my math right it should be around 83g.

Aquariums are kinda like boats - hole in the water into which we throw money! Good thing we love it.
