just looking for a ballpark figure

I would say $350-$500. I would talk to Chris @ FishScales (or whatever his new company is called) before I bought from anyone else.

I haven't talked to any sponsors.. but I would be SHOCKED if I could get a show tank at 120g with external coast to coast for that price....

Gonna feel things out for a while.. I'm in no hurry at all

Def more expensive....prob a 120 with low iron and internal overflow would be in the estimated range of about 500 to 700. Not quite sure what the additional cost for the coast to coast would be...

You might be surprised! Then again, I MIGHT BE! :) The fact you're only looking for a low iron front is going to save you some coin. The coast to coast doesn't present a problem unless you're looking to do "teeth" in the rear glass like I did. THAT was 'spainsive...

Edit: $543 from glasscages, and I KNOW our sponsors can beat that price. I put in a $75 overflow, and I can't imagine a coast to coast external would cost THAT much more.

I'll pm someone here in a while :)

Edit: .... fish scales doesn't have a forum area under sponsors ?

No longer a Sponsor i dont think

I think an AGA 120 RR is about a 600 or so dollar tank. So that would be a basline price. I remember when JohnR was a sponser and did a deal where you got an AGA reef ready tank for 400. I asked him what the normal price was and he said about 600

I recently picked up a 120 with single corner overflow and a stand for $699.

That's a given. I was just trying to give a little help based on current experience, I wasn't giving the guy a quote. I thought it may be a little more helpful than just throwing a number out there with no explanation. :D

I agree, but I really like the idea of so much surface area of the surface film being able to be processed.

Edit: i mean.. i love the idea.. now.. whether its worth another $300 to me is another thing I guess.

Didn't think explanation was needed. He asked a specific question and I gave a specific answer.
It's kind of like him asking what he would pay for a 2005 Toyota Tundra. People pipe up and say, "Well, I paid X amount for a 2006 F150." "And I paid X amount for a 2005 Chevy Silverado."

See build thread if further explanation needed. :D

So....Glass Cages charges an additional $636 for the coast to coast overflow? I would never have imagined it would, or should, be so expensive.

Hmmm. Hope you were an English major.

So...from an owners perspective is it worth the extra cost in your opinion?

What do u like about it? Noisy?

Glass cages, Oceanic, Perfecto ect are not sponsors either.

120 coast to coast, you will probably spend around $740 from a local manufacturer and $1250 out of Tenn.
