Hey guys,
I finally had my 120 rimless delivered yesterday so I thought I would start a build thread. Its a Glasscages tank with Starfire glass and a center overflow. I also ordered a 30 tall oak stand to go with the tank. I decided to go with GC for the obvious reason...the price of the tank. I was a bit concerned about all the reviews on their sloppy silicone work but after I received the tank I was pleasantly surprised with the silicone. It looked really good.
Anyways, I have to wait the dreaded 3 weeks for the silicone to cure out before I can add water but in the meantime I have to stain and finish my stand so that will keep me busy for a while. My plan is to have an external sump (rubermaid tote) in the garage so I will have to drill holes thru the wall for my piping which hopefully wont be that big of an issue. In the meantime here are some pics of the tank and stand.
Any pointers or suggestions you may have please feel free to chime in!
