120G Build thread

No the 120g is in TX, picking up tomorrow.

Made it and everything lived...all the acropora, chalices, LPS. It's all set back up in my 150g rubbermade vat.

Pics coming!

Woohoo!!!

The only thing that's damaged is the M. Undata. It's got better through the night so that's a good sign, it rolled over in it's bag and was getting exposed to air when the water sloshed around....is a little receded in some areas of the colony but seems to have darkened up overnight....usually they die overnight if there is something wrong. My huge green slimer colony is smaller now but man do i have some huge babies!

Have wood, tools, saw, screw jig thingy, glue, and clamps....the stand build has started.

You don't play around do ya? Your gonna have 2 builds under your belt before I am done with one. I'm slack

Ha! Maybe, just maybe. The RR plumbing will be the last thing. This sucker is going to be put together tomorrow and stained! Will need to build doors for the stand and a hood on Wed. I'm so excited, i ordered a Harliquin Tusk and i picked up a green coris wrasse today. There is a great LFS here in town that has great a great deal on fish except tangs...expensive here! And they only have soft coral and some LPS...looks like it's off to Dallas for SPS and chalice crack!

Bought a kick butt miter saw that also slides back and forth....it can eat a 2x10 like a champ. Also a new cordless drill 14v...couldn't spend the cash on the 18v.

You should talk to Melev if your going to be in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.

Oh, already a member of that reef club and planning on scoring some nice acros as soon as the tank is 100%. Have a ton of frags to trade as soon as they heal up and grow a little.

Sounds like the saw I have. You will enjoy it. Cuts large pvc too if you are in a hurry.
Is it an aussie tusk? They are soooo nice. Indian ones are too, but mmmmm the aussies are pretty. You should be able to get some sweet stuff off of the Dallas Fort Worth club there. Now that you live right around the corner from Marc Levenson I think you will REALLY enjoy your new home. Miss ya bud

Yeah they sometimes have meetings on Saturdays too!!!!! heck yeah! Sucks being away. Our stuff isn't here yet and we're sleeping on an air mattress in the living room and living out of suit cases. It will take some time getting used to the area. I haven't had to move away from friends in ten years and it's a little rough.

Take care man and keep in touch!

At least I won't get attacked by dogs anymore:D
Just kidding.
You are a true reefer when your tank is built and up before your furniture.
By the way my Ashley called me a jerk for not introducing her to your Christy sooner. She enjoyed the dinner

Ahh, same here man. Kristy thought she was real nice and would have liked to hang out with her more.

You sure aren't wasting any time. Of course once you get your furniture and stuff you'll be busy pushing it around so it's good to get what you can done before it gets there. I'm envious of the green coris wrasse, I think they are so cool and would love to have one but my tank is really peaceful and I read that they can be a little aggressive with smaller wrasses.

Progress and some new supplies with some old.

Some more BRS rock to scape with. Don't like a lot of rock so the scape will be minimum.

Sweet! Are you planning on painting the inside rather than stain it? The base stand looks really good, did you make it up or did you go off an existing plan? I'd be interested in the build details of it when you get a chance. I always build them out of 2"x4"s which I know is overkill, but I just can't help myself.
