120g rimless

I am looking into getting a 120g rimless tank. Never had a rimless so thought someone who has one might have some input on this. Not too sure if there is any difference or not in a rimless and a regular tank or not. Any thoughts?

All i picked up from info on here is there are certain things you have to do to put it on a stand like foam underneath, and also cant really run a wavemaker because there is no rim to catch the wave if it gets to high, I think Dave acchrolic has one and knows all about it
