125G reef tank

im in talks with a local member about a 125G tank i want to turn this into a reef and transfer everything over from my 55G reef what type of circulation would i be looking at would 2x Hydor Koralia magnum 5 pumps plus a 600gph sump return cut it? ive never done a tank this big and just needing a little bit of into

I have the same tank as you and I have a quiet one 4000 on ball valve turned down to push around 600-700 gph. I as well have two k5 and have really good flow through the tank. They're on opposite sides one pushing on the front glass the other on the back glass.

I've got a 125 with about 800 GPH on the return plus two K1400s. Overall the flow is good, but the position of the overflows on the back wall make the back corners hard to get flow into. I'm thinking of putting a couple K nanos low in the back corners.

Thanks for the info thats how i will setup mine then since you do the same and have success with that setup

Edit: oh also i will have to use an overflow box because the tank isnt drilled and i wasnt going to get it drilled

Mine is now drilled and have corner overflows. Whatever way you do it you should be successful.
