My tank comes in Monday, so I figure it is about that time to start up a build thread! Everything will be transferred from my current Solana. I hope it is a smooth transition and a fast mini-cycle!

Tank: 15x15x15 rimless cube
Stand: Custom stand
Lights: Current USA 150w hanging pendant
Flow: MP10

Lots of pictures to come!

just don't tranfer the sand and use the old tank water and you won't have a cycle. Good luck with the transfer.

Isn't the bacteria in the sand good? I am open to buying new sand... I would love to start with white clean sand... but I was always under the impression that established sand is good? Thanks for your help!

Undisturbed sand is fine. Once you try to move it, it can become toxic. It's best to start with new sand and seed it with a cup or two of the old sand. JMO.

Ah, I see. I appreciate your advice- it looks like I will be picking up some new sand!

Is it me or are people just setting up rimless tanks left and right...Cant wait to see pictures...

I transferred everything over... have everything hooked up except for the disco ball. I just have the viper temporarily over it- until I drill the real light in tomorrow.

So far I really love the new tank and the starphire glass is incredible. I think my mp10 is a bit much for this tank though.... I will have to see when it settles down. Does anyone have an MP10 on a 14g? I have it on lagoon mood, at its lowest setting and my torch is still blowing like crazy. I may just have to move it somewhere else in the tank.

Here is a little teaser... I still have to landscape and re-arrange the corals.... I am just waiting to let everything settle over night before I try anything. I always get really nervous moving around rocks with corals in the tank. I would hate to scratch the glass. Wish me luck.

Also... to put an anemone in or not.... that is the question......?

Well, I just moved the powerhead and some other corals to a different spot... my big bubble coral is the only coral that still is moving a little, But I pointed the powerhead well away from him. So hopefully that will do the trick!

Everything was moved around all day, so be nice if the corals look a bit stressed. A special thanks to Jerry (Eclipse) on here for helping out with hanging the light!

Thank you so much! Your tank is my favorite and truly an inspiration. I can only hope to own something like it one day.

I just picked up a bta and 2 onyx clowns from JamesCook. Within an hour of having them in the tank, they already paired and are hosting their anemone. Now let's just cross my fingers and hope it stays there. Truly beautiful fish, thank you James.

I couldn't be happier. I will post a video tonight! Stay tuned.

Pics do not do this tank justice it looks even better in person. Glad you got the clowns...

Helping a fellow reefer is no trouble at all. Anytime !

I may take you up on that beer offer... lol

Here is a quick video that I made. Sorry for the bad video quality, I need a macro lens. I am going to borrow my friends camera that will have a much more clear picture. Hope you enjoy!

I am a little mad... the anemone decided to move under a rock, and my clowns followed it. So now I can't see any of them too well, but it is slowly creeping back out. I hope it is just adjusting to the new more powerful light. I am going to keep it positive! If anyone has any suggestions on how much is too much light / flow for this anemone, I am all ears.
