150 or 250?

Since I have not gotten any takers looking to sell a light fixture for the new frag tank I am now debating whether to go 150 or 250. The display tank is 250 DE lights. The frag tank size is 24 x 24 x 16. I have several SPS acro frags that I am growing out now and I am having the hardest time deciding what to do. Any experience with 150 in a frag tank? Should I go pendant or fixture? I would not mind some T5 supplemental light just like the display. So many choices. Pulling the trigger in the next 24 hours.

the DE limits the bulb choice to only the Phoenix - at least for me...

I agree with the bulb choice. I have tried almost every bulb out there through the years and have finally just settled on Phoenix 14k. Pretty boring but I tried EVC, Helios and XM DE bulbs but now I am exclusive to old reliable.

Good points. I have actually already cut out my frag rack. Did that this weekend. It will have three steps up in a U shape. I stole the idea from someone on reefcentral and it looks really good. My thought are to keep the lower light frags on the bottom around the outer edge with medium light frags in the middle U and mostly acro frags on the top. The top piece is not cut in a U it is solid eggcrate. The focus of the light will obviously be in the center where the highest light frags will be. I will look for the picture that I got the idea from.

I always try to do this as practical as I can so that was the debate if I could get by with 150. My display is 250 Phoenix so I think I am going to find a fixture that is DE 250 and has a couple of T5s. Really did not want to spend this much on a fixture but it looks like I am going to have to bite the bullet. The next question is what fixture. Geesh.
