I have to admit I love my books. I recently added a real prize to my collection. Philip Henry Gosse's 1854 "The Aquarium". I have also ordered a modern binding but it hasn't come yet (print to order company), which I will actually read. I don't wanna hurt the original binding. But, boy the old color lithographs are sweet and thought I'd share (and get to brag a little about my find). Gosse is the fellow who came with with combining the words "aqua" and "vivarium" to make Aquarium, one of the first books written on the care of marine animals, it is the first written introduction of the word Aquarium. While it was harder to collect books 10 years ago, I can't complain about the internet. Although, the wealth of near free knowledge does rise awareness of value, and I did have to pay for this thing, still pretty sweet! Pictures were taken without a flash so they are a little blurred
