I am currently using bionic 2 part and have been able to keep my levels where I want them, however I have to dose daily which is kind of a pain. Anyone else use a brand that you dont have to dose everyday? If so I may switch to that brand. My tank is just a 30 gallon.

I dose every day as well. I use Kent Tech CB A&B. Has worked fine for years but is a pain when we go on vacation and my friend has to come over every day....

I use 2 part from BRS, and dose 6 times a day using something simlar to this:

An MRC Cr-2 doesn't require daily anything. Matter o fact, I haven't messed with mine in 3 weeks...

Edit: Oops. For a 30 gallon, dosing pumps might be best. I doubt you'd need a ca reactor.

How much are you dosing daily?

Someone jump in if I'm wrong but if you want stability you're going to have to dose daily. Doesn't matter what brand you use.

Yes, you are CORRECT, however, ripped tide was suggesting a calcium reactor, which he later retracted due to size of tank...

Yeah I was talking about the original question about two part. I did see what ripped was saying about the reactor though. Wish I had one...

so yes, your tank will deplete ALK & calcium at a fairly constant rate which much be dosed at least daily...

mag, as long as it is in range, above 1300...not so much

minor elements are good to go with a decent weekly water change.......

I would certainly recommend looking into dosing pumps and a controller. I have a RKL and BRS dosing pumps. They will set you back a few bills but IMO very much worth it. I debated for a while but eventually took the plunge and don't regret it. At times I wish I had a more upgraded controller but ultimately this one does everything I need and most of what I want. The price difference at the time wasn't worth it.

I've purchased the same over time and have the same opinion.
