Definitley looks like ich. I have kept Acans under PCs before and while they didn't grow as fast as long as I kept them middle or higher in the the tank they did well. But I spot feed(and still do) my acans.

why would it pop up after new tank? He had no spots yesterday... Can stress play apart?

So since I have weak lights put the coral high? What do you mean spot feed? The photoplayctein?

spot feed would mean to take a turkey baster or something like that and directly feed it pieces of food like shrimp, etc. to make sure it just isn't getting what it can out of the water

Stress can cause ich, but are you sure it didn't have any spots yesterday?

I spot feed my acans(and other corals) mysis shrimp using a turkey baster.

Yea I checked him out, and he looked good. Today not so much, put in the food metronidazoie and he ate a lil bit. He hides every time I grt close to tank, so I hope its just stress, but dont want fish to die

Edit: also the acan looks like it is just painted in, I dont really see how that thing could eat shrimp?

Also how should I monitor the fish? DoI take him back, or just see what happens? I dont want a dead fish next week and the store say oh well

Hehe feeding tentacles will come out when the light dims or when drop a little bit of food on it. Just make sure the power heads are turned off so the food will stay there long enogh for the tentacles to grab it.

I put shrimp on rock and nothing happened. It looks like some one Colored the Rock with crayons doesn't look like anything living but it must be alive since it has color?

Really worried bout tang... Never had one so I don't know what a normal tang acts like. How long can he have all those spots before he dies?

Stress can make the fish more vulnerable, but rest assured, either he had the parasite on him when you got him OR it was already living in your tank.

As to the last question, ich does NOT mean the fish will die. It is possible, but not likely as long as he keeps eating. If he stops eating you'll have no choice but to pull him out and medicate in a hospital tank.

The acan can only eat small pieces of food. Do you have any other fish in the tank. What exactly are the params?

I've never spot fed an acan (or any LPS for that matter). You may get better growth if you do, but it is by no means necessary. Mine get food when the fish eat.
