Who else on here has been doing this for over 20 years? Better yet how about over 10+ years?? I wanna know who the addicts are. I know me and arch are way over the hill. Lol :)

1986 was my first saltwater tank (almost 25 years)

1973 since my first freshwater (don't care to even count that one!)

Not I

I think if I had to do it for a living, then it would become work.....

Actually, it feels that way a bit now.... I think I'm headed for another break!

Brought home a 2-gallon tank and 2 goldfish in about 1986. Saltwater about a year later.

10 years in the trade as of September. Worked about a year for someone else, did maintenance on my own in the 9 months between when I left the other shop, and opened my own.

I did take a couple of years off of SW in the mid 90s but I put up a FW during that time.

It's a sickness.

If you work in an aquarium style pet store. You truly get a crash course on the fishy world. Simply because so many varieties will pass thru your hands. 5 years running a fish store you could have more exp with a larger variety of animals then someone in it 20 years

I maintained saltwater aquariums at work for about two years before I got one myself... and I'm in my fourth year with it...

....and I still don't know shinola about it!

I've been doing it for 20 years. Probably kept maby 5000-10000 fish. There's probably a million different kinds o fishes out there. So really my cups empty and needs to be filled. Alot of these old schoolers that have posted on here still ask questions to. We never quit learning.
