Ok guys I need to replace my bulbs on my sps tank and I have a question for everyone which bulbs would you get the 250 watts 14000 k Phoenix or the 20000k radiums ?

I used radium 250w and loved the color, but then again i also ran blue T-5 as supplement as well. I like the blue look. Radiums by themselves have a really good look

You probably would be fine with either. I have used Radium 250s and 400s SEs and love them, but have not used the 150. I have used the Phoenix 250 DE and liked it a lot as well.

You might want to try the 400w bulb if the color is what you are looking for. :)

Have to agree with the other posts above: Color, growth & just the right blue levels for me.

400w Radium

Another vote for radiums. I don't know what ballast you have but realize that radiums look a little different on an electronic ballast. An electronic HQI ballast will fire them but they will be a touch more blue. Most people actually like the look. It's a personal choice. I ran mine with a bluewave 7 magnetic ballast and they were just a bit more white/crisp than with an electronic ballast. Both will work and have a proven record of good results.

I have a pair of 250w radiums that have about three months of use on the shelf. If you want to try them pm me. We'll work something out.
