250w MH opinions

looking for some opinions on 250w MH bulbs. as of now i have a 10k reeflux and some piece of crap plusrite 20k. when i built my 65g i only had one, but now have a galaxy dual ballast. time to get the color right. i know the radiums look good in the 20k but have seen some bad reviews on people getting the bulbs in bad shape with terrible customer service. anyone running the xm 20k's or im open to any other brands. thanks

I've had great luck with the radium 20kk bulb, my tank looks great!

I've run the XM20ks before... but on my 175 watt ballasts. Great color if you ask me, but I was told to go to the Reeflux 12ks by the LFS in Jax that my dad frequents. Cant complain about those either. I've been getting very good growth and I like the color because its very similar to a 20k color.

i just got 12k reeflux bulbs and they have great color. really blue for a 12k bulb and to me side by side with a radium 20k it is hard to tell a differance.

I have used both and radiums are the way to go if your ballast will fire them. The xm's are a nice blue as well but just not as crisp as the radiums(imo). Good luck

Any ARC Sponsor can get them for you. Keen Reef sells Radium 250 and 400 SE bulbs for $70 each, which is lower than internet prices.
