I am soon to convert my freshwater tank to saltwater/reef. Inventory is as follows:
26G bow front 24"L x 15"W x 21"h
Choralife 65 skimmer
MaxiJet Wavemaker system
100W heater
I am going to build a canopy that includes:
T5ho - 24" X 4 24w lamps - to start with will be 2 actinic 420nm and 2 10k
LED moon light (blue)
2 fans for cooling
I will hopefully be buying LR and LS soon - have read that between 1-1.5lb LR per gallon, and 1lb LS per gallon.
I have had tropical tanks for 25+ years, but will be taking this slow since this is my entre into marine/reef tanks. My stocking plans include:
cleaning crew (snails, hermits, emerald crab?)
2 Ocellaris Clowns
1 Royal Gramma
1 6-Line Wrasse
3 Blue-Green Chromis
1 BTA
2-3 feather dusters
Corals:
Branching Frogspawn
Torch coral
Candy Cane Coral
Zoas
Green Tip Hammer Coral
Mushroom Coral
Green Polyp Leather
Long Polyp Leather
Pavona Coral
Toadstool Muchroom Leather Coral
With the corals, I will start with the mushrooms and zoas, and progress slowly with the others.
Any advice/guidance is greatly appreciated. When I convert (probably in the next month or two), I will post pics to log progression.
