27 Tall

Was looking at tanks that are 27" tall.Will my lighting that I'm using for my 24" tank work . I'm using hydras and ATI sunpower t5..Is it going to be a big difference besides going swimming.

I think you will regret getting a deep tank. Was reading a thread on RC about the number one thing you would do differently on your tank and the deep tank feedback was by far the most mentioned. Now if you're 6'7" with 36" arms maybe not...
I know this is off topic but worth mentioning

the t5 or leds wont be a problem at that depth.

My tank is 27"deep. I have a dual T5 and an Orbit LED, so nothing super high powered and they seem to reach the bottom fine. I have never done a PAR reading or anything but i have LPS and softies, and one flower rock anemone, down toward the bottom and all are growing and happy. Here is a pic if that helps.
