Hey Everyone -
So, after a long battle with ich or some other type of parasite (and my impatience), I decided to give my 29g BC another try. This whole thing originally started with a 26g bow front in Jan of 2010. Last Feb I decided I'd like to migrate everything to a 29g Biocube - it's nice having everything in one place and not having all the extra pieces (filters and what not).
Anyway, I started my BC in March of 11, transplanted everything from my bow front and and all went well for a few weeks. I added a flame angel and then everything died - of ich or some other type of white spotted disease. Per the advice of my local LFS I let the tank sit for about a month - kept up with water changes - and tried gain. Same result - everything I put in died. This happened once more...
Long story short, I let it sit for three months and a month ago I tried again. Finally, I've gotten to a point where my tank is acting more like a bio-habitat and less like Auschwitz. I thought I'd share some pics I have with you.
*** Before you say anything - Yes, there is a yellow tang in it. He's maybe 2.5"-3" and there is PLENTY of space for him in there. I already have an escape plan - I'm picking up a 72g bow front this weekend to which he will be transplanted ***
Livestock: 2 clowns, 1 yellow tang
Corals: 5 or 6 different types of zoas (eagle eyes, watermellon, blue tubbs, lord of the rings), two frongspawns, 1 leather, a GSP, yellow star polyp, Candy Cane Coral, Kenya Tree (sprouting to a small forrest), blue cloves, 1 war coral
Inverts: several red crabs, several blue crabs, several snails and a few mini star fish
What do you all think?
