Hey Guys,
So as most of yall know, I just got a new mandarin goby! I decided to set up a tank specifically for copepods and a few little coral frags... I got a simple coral life light and HOB filter.. for 50 dollars!
So far, i havent set it up yet, but when i get water in it and some sand (pm me if you have any) ill post some pictures!!

I had black sand in my other tank and it was awesome. Cant wait to see it set up, however if you are truly doing just pods and small corals then I would suggest and air pump as opposed to a filter. A filter will suck up pods and chop them up.

Air Pump? Like a simple air pump.. like airation stone?

thanks!.. ill go and get an airstone .. you think even if i have like 5lbs-10lbs of rock they will still be sucked into the filter?

Just set it up

i have a HOB filter with a covering so that the pods can get caught up in the filter.. does anything think i could get a little fish for in there w/ pods or will it eat them?

ok thanks!!. .right now i put some corals in there just to get the water going, you think 1 crab and 1 snail will be okay? or just a snail.. ive never done this type of thing before
thanks

i just took water from my 29g that has been set up for over a year and added it here.. then dripped the corals to ensure proper transfer.. and dripped the crab and snail... about the book, id prefer to spend 25 dollar on coral.. thanks anyways

you guys are REALLY over reacting to the situation at hand, i would never want to be in a bad situation with you guys, sorry.. lolz

LMAO, ummm ok. Nice language by the way. Sounds like you need to learn to make better decisions for the fish you purchase. Poor mandarin you just bought and put in a 29g?????? good grief.....

Spending money on coral other then the book that was referd is a bad idea.. I can't fathom why you would ask for help(not really so much on this thread, more so on the thread before this) and totally blow off the advice given. We are only here to help. Just trying to help look out for you, like most here do. Set back, relax and listen to these guys.. that's what I do, and I learn sonething new almost everyday
