3 Year Old 29G Ocenaic BioCube question!

Hi, I am new to the website (love it btw) and had a quick question. I have the opportunity to buy a used 29 G Oceanic Biocube (3 years old) and was wondering if there are any major differences between a 3 year old BioCube and a 2009 model? Has anybody had problems with a BioCube that is a few years old? Please let me know I cant wait to get a tank going! Thanks again for your help, have a good one!

I believe they are pretty similar. They may have updated the lights a bit and added an extra fan. It's a good all-in-one and if it's your first tanke a good starter.

Welcome to the site, we're all reef geeks here.... I'm starting out (once again......) with a 14g oceanic, it really is a decend all in one system....

Doesn't the output from these bulbs decrease over time? I've had mine for 1 1/2 years and was wondering if they should be replaced.

Replace bulbs every 12 to 18 months.

I wouldn't run a bulb past 6 months.
