37 gallon is almost there!

Good to know, I'm a bit "slow" when it comes to lighting. Has anyone tried out these Marineland LED fixtures? Too cheap to probably be worth anything, I would think...

What about this light? I know, I know...the controversy. The price is nice and I could probably convince the wife to allow me to hang this one.

tex, aquatraders have a bad history. However I am using a fixture right now it works fine. Im really only using it short term, but on a small cheap build like that, i think it will be more than enough. But why not their t5?

They don't make a 30" T5, don't know why. I might could convince wifey to let me hang a 24" though.

I COULD run a skimmer, but I'm trying to keep a clean look to the tank ad keep this whole thing simple. That being said, I'm not going to cause livestock to suffer because of that desire. i think I can actually run the hood with just the back portion and squeeze a light down in there. Right now, I have LR rubble where the carbon filter would normally go, and I have my little heater where the biowheel would go. I'm only talking about having 4 clowns in there (or 2 and a goby/pistol), so I'm just not sure a skimmer is all that necessary, is it?

If you're just doing fish, no, it's not.

4 clowns will be too much, once two of them pair up, they will beat the others into submission.

I thought you couldn't mix percs and false percs? I also had no idea that 4 clowns would be a problem. What about 3? Reason I'm asking is because I have one now (his mate died recently), but just offered a member to purchase his two. One B&W and one regular...

If that is a center brace on it you will be limited on a HOB filter that is rated high enough for your tank and will have to go with a sump and skimmer. Do a fuge if you go HOB skimmer.
If not then go for one rated for 80g and be done

So I need a clown expert, it seems. I can always pull the third one out when the 37 is ready, but I want to make sure I'm not looking at a problem having three in there for a few weeks.

Tested for the past two days for Ammonia, Nitrites, and Nitrates...nothing so far. Should I add some more Rod's?
