40 breeder frag tank build

I didnt really follow through with my display tank build, so I figured that I would try it again with my frag tank!
I bought the 40 breeder at petco for $40 on sale, and obtained the stand from another member for $40.
I purchased an overflow kit from glass-holes.com along with some locline returns.
Im not going to lie. I was freaking out that i was going to break the glass while drilling it. Luckily I made it.

Edit: I need to finish making the purchases for the tank, im going to use a Coralvue 6x39w fixture and a superskimmer 1000sss. I already obtained a mag 7 for a return from another member. The sump is a 20long that I also bought from petco for $20.
I will be running this either bare bottom or with live rock placed under a full tank sized light diffuser frag rack.

Glad to hear you were successful drilling it. I'm contemplating if I want to drill mine or no! What size hole did you drill and what size bulk head are you using?

Looks good! I just put the same overflow and returns on my 50g on friday. I was nervous cutting the holes also, but it a lot easier than I expected.

the overflow is a 1 1/2inch bulkhead and the returns are 1/2 inch, these come as complete kits from glass-holes
