400w Plusrite any good?

whats up, does anyone know anything about these? i have a couple and they seem to be working good and havnt found any bad reviews on them

No they are not good. You get what you pay for with metal halide.

They actually have some pretty good PAR values depending on which one you have.

but they don't last and the color of the 10K is very yellow.

Par starts to fall off after 3-4 months, color shifts at 6 months. Add that with the fact the 10k looks more like 6.5k, the 14k looks like a crappy 10k and the 20k looks like a decent 14k and you end up spending about the same as just getting a good bulb.

aight, i have sps 400w 20ks in it now so last night i put a plusrite in with 1 of the sps, and it looks exactly the same, and accually the coral frags seem to like the plusrite better. they are all opening up more! im pretty impressed for the price, the plusrite are 20k 400s also
