40L Frag system

I'm working on a plan for my 40L frag tank. I've got a rough sketch of what I'm thinking (ignore where it says QT). The idea is to flow from the 40 to the 10, then from there to the sump. Any suggestions?

What's the goal behind separating the sump and fuge into two separate tanks rather than having them in one?

Space clears up room in the sump also gives you more options within the fuge

I tried having a small fuge in the sump for my 75 system, and it's very limiting. I like having space to get to my skimmer if needed, not having to fight to get it around the filter socks just to empty it.
