Well imagine that... Brandon has another tank! After the 210 crashed, I didn't find as much satisfaction with a 300DD. And with my extremely busy travel schedule flying here and there, it was time to downsize until I decide how big and how custom of a tank I'm going to do. (We all know that time is probably not terribly far away) So I picked this tank up from Bob at a great deal and had planned on it being the nem tank. With me unable to get rid of all my sps (30 to be exact) I needed somewhere to stash them. Picked up the antique stand from a yard sale site on Facebook for $15. Then with a little Paint, some modifications to keep moisture down, drill some holes for the bulkheads, and boom we've got a "custom stand." I decided to keep one of my photons since they are practically new. Hung it from the ceiling (which was harder than anticipated to get straight) I then picked up a pair of rw-8 from Angel (Thanks buddy) I used clean dead base rock to build the scape. However I hadn't bought liverock in so long I forgot how pricey it can be (got to support my lfs) Then came the REAL risky part... with the deconstruction of the 300 happening so fast... I knew there wasn't a chance of letting the tank going thru a natural cycle. I went and bought 12lbs of live rock and a bottle of aquavitra seed and seachem stability. 5 days later the tank had to be ready for livestock. (DISCLAIMER: DO NOT DO THIS) I feel like I should disclose this, although I'm the exception not the rule, I've been around the block a time or two so I'm always ready with large amounts of water and I know what my livestock tells me. With that being said everything is looking pretty good. Enough with the book... Here's the pictures
