I have a tank that has a 6" sand bed that I feed off of my drain from the tank. The flow is slow. Would it be a problem to put fish and snails in this tank? This is not the fuge I have another tank that has cheato growing in it.
I have two fish in about the same set up I just raised the pipe feeding it up a little to get some turbulence on the water surface . They have been there over a year.
as long as nothing burrows, digs or otherwise disturbs the sand at a depth greater than 1". If the DSB is established, you need to make sure you maintain the balance aerobic and anaerobic bacterias in their respective layers of the sand.
