75 RR Plumbing

I will be plumbing my 75 RR corner overflow within the next couple of weeks and had a question about plumbing. What is the preferences of ARC members: Use PVC to plumb or tubing (vinyl or "vacuum cleaner type" hoses. I will have a basic sump set up for now with Protein Skimmer and return. Still debating on just a regular sump or a refugium. Any help with chosen one of these setups would be helpful as well.

ive run both and theres not a huge difference in the 2 IMO. i will say if you want to run any reactors off of a manifold, pvc is best bet. but other than that, its personal preference. pvc seems to be much cheaper, but its really not if you use many valves and unions. clear tubing may be more algae prone if you have light in your stand...
