ok so with the girlfriend sick this past weekend I was able to make some progress on the new build.
Tank is an 80g shallow 48x24x16
Plan is to add the frag tank to main display along with two separate qt systems. One for fish and one for coral.
Started out by repainting the stand and I have been in the process of repainting my house as well. So that is where I started. Still need to gather up a few more pieces of equipment but this what I have so far.

That's very cool. Nice work man. I like how clean everything looks.

My one concern would be that manifold. Most manifolds have ball valves on each of the outlets so that you can control how much flow goes through each one. Are you planning on adding some ball valves to the outlets?

Ya manifold isn’t finished. I didn’t wanna add ball valves yet without knowing that size outlet I wanted and there is a shut off before the manifold starts so I figured it would be fine for now. Once I start adding equipment to the manifold I will add ball valves in order to shut off flow to the outputs.

Got some more work done this weekend. Got the frag system plumber into the main display. Still haven’t filled the main display just yet. Waiting on a few things I need still to finish it. But it’s a work in progress.

Thanks! I def have many hrs in it lol.
At work I machine parts within .0001 of an inch all day no problem. For some reason fitting PVC together is like a monkey fu**** a football. I can make it functional but not pretty:)

Lol ya I feel ya. Unfortunately I remodel/flip houses for a living so I have my fair share of plumbing experience!

Slowly but surely coming together. Picking up the t5s/reef brites for the display and new t5reef brite set up for the frag tank next weekend so hopefully after that we will be ready to start moving coral into the main display! Over the next couple of weeks I will add the final stock list of fish but so far so good with phase one of the stock list.

Quick little update while I let the tank settle in and do what it does. Got the lights switched over on both tanks. Still need to order new bulbs and my 48” reef brites but for now waiting on my uv to come in the mail. Was suppose to be here Sunday but something happened and my order got refunded and I was never notified of the situation. So anyways here’s a few pics.

Also moved the fish qt system to a different part of the house where i could access them easier. Plan on using a 32 cube that I have and I will put it under the stand and take the middle shelf out. Should work decently and I should have enough room to work from the top.

Went and visited to coral plug today. Took home more then I should have haha. Will def going back for the other half of his selection ASAP!! But for now time to let things chill for a few months before I move into the new house. Managed to save my Cali tort frag that started to stn for some unknown reason. And the pink birds nest that I got from the meeting is trying to recover from a heavy coral rx dip other then that everything is settled in nice and looking happy.

Your rock work looks amazing

It looks really great! Very neat and, idk, streamlined? Anyway it's a thing of beauty! Hope ours looks that pretty

What do you use to secure your rockwork? I haven't glued any corals yet and need to secure my rocks before I do.
