Hi all, looking for some advice - I have plans of setting up my Reefer 350 system (91g total volume) in the corner of my office, rather small peanuts in comparison to the monster systems out there but just trying to be overly cautious as I've never had a system of this size (coming from 46g and never any consideration of this). Unfortunately, that perfect spot runs parallel to the joists and some reading got me nervous with weight considerations. There's also a rather heavy, solid desk/hutch that would sit next to it on the same ~14ish foot wall/same joist (the 2nd tank is no longer there). The 46g was running in the same spot for a few years until it got broken down, but this is obviously double the size and probably well over double the weight in sheer volume, equipment and such.
I have some pictures of the supports attached and my proposed tank location, it is in the corner, exterior wall, etc. House itself is only about 16 years old... The tank would sit about dead center on that first truss...are there steps I should take to add further support to allow this placement, should I contact an engineer of sorts to take a look, or am I literally just worrying over nothing?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
