Abnormal (?) Growth on Milli

I've had this milli colony for a couple months now. It's been coloring back up very well but has this area on one of the branches that is growing very different than the other branches. Even the coralites don't seem to be growing like the typical milli. Am I overreacting and it's simply new growth?

It looks bleached. Is it possible that it got stung? I can't believe I'm being this civil towards a Tech fan this week!

It's actually a growth. It's growing in size. I thought it was just new growth at first, which it is, but it's growing in girth as oppose to longer branches...

And yes, I appreciate the civil talk and would very much so appreciate it you taken it easy on us this weekend. Appreciate the response!
