About to buy some filter socks!

Yes...you only want the ones with the plastic ring. Still you'll have to call because they will only sale in quantity of 25 each on their web site. They are very nice people to deal with. If you end up ordering from them....I may want to add to it with about 4 of the 100 micron mesh.

What is everyone getting for felt: Nylon, polyester, polypropolene, or polypropolene microfiber?

If there is a group buy building I will probably take 4 more 100 micron 4" socks. I bought 2 100 and 4 200 but have yet to use the 200's, although I was only using felt 200's before that.

Im thinking about it. I have a busy weekend but might be able to put something together next week. If someone wants to go ahead and call the people at filterbag.com and see if they can put something together us that would help me out.

I get mine from Foster & Smith. Wash them on gentle hot with bleach. Ring them out and soak for a day in a five gallon bucket with Prime. Good to go and can't get any easier. I just keep three sets in rotation.

Is all that really necessary using mess? I Just bought 4 mess to try. I've been using felt and they are a pain!
