So like a few people on here know, I made an order for a 360g acrylic tank from a seemingly local company called Aclearium. That was in earlier October, and fast forward 6 months to now, after months of delays and excuses every week (though great communication with the guy via phone calls, FaceTime, Facebook messenger), I finally had to take it to a PayPal dispute/claim for a refund. Luckily the refund process went well by going through PayPal (after he refused refund).

So just as a heads up to others considering it, I would definitely not recommend this company. I’m not 100% sure that it was a complete scam, but I found others with a similar story, and braselton police is apparently aware of him. Hopefully this saves someone the headache I had.

But good news is, after getting my full refund, I just ordered a 610g tank from glasscages and am looking forward to stocking it full of my large tangs and mixed reef

So glad it worked out for you bro. Looking forward to your new build. That's a beast of a tank. :)

That had to have been annoying!!
But Thank god for Paypal buyer protection!! Ive had multiple situations where it saved my butt.

Good luck with the tank!

@ptreef How much did Glass Cages charge you for the 600?

I got a quote on a 96x42x30 peninsula from Custom Acrylic/American Aquariums $4590 delivered.

$4400 + would be $390 for freight. They don’t do delivery to your door. 130x31.5x36x5”. Includes overflows, overflow covers, bulkheads, and return plumbing assembly

Not sure I follow those demensions...

What made you decide glass over acrylic?

I just have heard too many recommendations against acrylic because it scratches too easily. The acrylic 360g tank was gonna be over 600lbs empty anyways so it wouldn’t have been light

Glad it all worked out. Love that you went from 360 - 600+ in a little over 6 months!

That's going to be one hellofa tank! You could have just bought Raj's though.

I'm really leaning towards a peninsula and I don't want it extending off the wall 10'. I'm scared about how easy it is to scratch acrylic but I hear it's about as easy to scratch Starfire. I also like the insulating factor of acrylic and the clarity. I have a clam in my frag tank and the color of it looks completely different from above vs thru the glass.

I tried reaching out a few times for his tank, but I also didn’t want a peninsula. Seems his finally sold anyways so we’re all happy.

I’m so excited to have a nearly 11’ long tank for my fish and corals growing in my frag tank
