Is there any one that works on acrylic tanks? I need some scratches taken out of a 180 gal tank. Who can I call?

Are the scratches inside or out? can you feel them with your fingernail (how deep) and so on? If the damage isnt horrible you can do it yourself (ive done it), but it takes a LOT of elbow grease and time.

Inside, and yes you can feel them with your finger nail. They are not too deep but do look bad. I bought the novus kit but has not worked too good for me.

Starting to wish I had never bought it now.

You might need to bring that to a glass shop. It doesn't sound too good since you can feel the scratches.

Have you looked into the very fine sandpapers they sell at auto body shops? They can get down to sub 1000 grit. If you ge tthe finest grit available and lots of elbow grease....

You might want to check with Precision Custom Aquariums in the sponsor forums because I think he builds acrylic tanks and can probably guide you in the correct direction.

Used the novus kit on a 210g I got last fall. Took a fair bit of time and patience to get it looking good. Gave up on trying to do it by hand, used a car buffer much easier on the arms. Just be careful not to settle into one area too long, else you might end up with swirly patterns or even possibly a curved section.
