Adding old rock to established tank

Ive got about 50lbs of rock in buckets laying around. I want to add it to my display. Can i just wash the rock of in water and add a little at a time?

I would fully cure the rock before adding it to my tank. Becuase depending on the size of the rock you could have a nitrate spike which could be harmful. If you had a 500 gallon tank and you wanted to add softball size pieces 1 at a time that would be ok.

Yeah im going to just add one piece a little at a time. And keep an eye on nitrates.
