Adding sand dollar to tank???

My son got this from the water in the Caribbean a month ago. He wants to add this to the tank. Smells clean and dry. I'm worried about hebbie jebbies being on it. He brought it back all excited about adding it. What do y'all think???

if you're worried about it, you can just bleach, then dechlorinate.

I brought back some conch shells. I did bleach them for a day or two. Then let them sit in used saltwater from a WC. Added a little prime. then no issues. Now I think it looks great. I will upload a pict later.

Probably not. Depends on where all it was after being taken out of the ocean.

I have a 32 gallon brute in the other room that I filled up with about 10" of rubble/small coral skeletons, then the rest of the way up with as much dry rock as I could fit in. Filled with water, then a whole gallon of bleach and stuck in an old powerhead that I don't care about. I'ts been sitting like that for about 5 days, because I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to draining the bleach water out yet. But I'll just drain out the bleach water, refill, dump in a bottle of dechlorinator, let it go for a couple days, drain, pull the rock out, let the rock and the trash can dry, put the rock back in, fill with SW, then let it cure for a couple months.

I wonder how many lbs of rock I have in the 32 Brute. Probably a lot!

Alright thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure. You put so much time and money into these things you hate to do something stupid , and crash it.

Whatcha think? Notice the Monti growing in the center. A piece broke off and fell in it. I noticed it a month or so later. Deicided to see what it would do.

That will be a cool growth with that piece.
