Well I think i'm going to go cry myself to sleep. Just found AEFW and red bugs. I diligantly dipped every coral I got regardless of who it was from. You'd be amazed how many pieces out there have red bugs. I became like a super hero with lazer eyes and dipped extra hard till I saw them all dead before putting the frag in my tank. I guess some eggs or something weren't killed by the dip
The AEFW came out of left field and floored me. Was trying to figure out why I was having some problems with certain corals when I noticed the bite marks. It's like red bugs, once you see them, there's no mistaking.
So I tried dipping one of my corals in revive and within 2 minutes I had 2 large flatworms floating. Dipped another and found 3+ more and a batch of eggs I scraped off. Dipped 3 more frags and didn't see any flatworms, but did find a batch of red bugs.
I'm so very bummed. The red bugs I guess I can get with interceptor if I can find some on the market. Not sure if it kills the eggs or if I have to do multiple treatments. Atleast I only have 3 trochus snails, 2 hermits, and a fleet of stomatella snails that may get nuked.
Not sure what to do about AEFW, i'll have to research. any suggestions are very welcome.
