This would the first I've seen other than in pics so I apologize if this is a dumb question.
I've only seen this one and only this once. I happened to be looking in the tank with a flashlight and saw it. Is that common?

Yep aiptasia.

Edit: Sometimes they blend in with the lights on cause ur looking at ur coral and fish etc..

Yeah weird. I've seen a few strawberry anonomes but never this one. Is it likely that it's the only one? Hopefully I can get rid of it and be done.

Get a peppermint shrimp and most likely you'll never have to worry about it.

That's the plan. Thanks a bunch. Have you seen the laser on YouTube? I'd love to try that out just for fun.
Probably just a peppermint shrimp though. lol

I might try that out. I also read that blowing kalk directly into its mouth can kill it. Anybody tried that?

If you only have the one or two I wouldn't add a peppermint shrimp to deal with it... you'll end up with another hungry mouth to feed, and one known to put soft corals on its diet if it takes an interest in them.

Use the Aiptasia X and all should be well - it looks like it's in an easily treatable spot. Bit of advice, if the anemone retreats into the rock after you start applying the product, simply fill the hole with a tiny bit of the stuff. Never had one come back from that.

Agreed on the aiptasia x I got a peppermint for two aiptasia polyps and it owned them but within 3 days was tearing apart my zoa colonies :(

Alright so I'm back in town and gonna get back on the tank. You guys are right, no peppermint shrimp unless this stuff gets out of control. I'm gonna try some aiptasia x. Anybody wanna borrow me some?
