today I got 10 scarlet hermits and 10 astreas. Also will take picks and post them but someone has to tell me how.

get a free photobucket account...upload them to photobucket..then link them here...u basically just have to put

Ok, will do. Another question is about the lighting. How long should I have it running? It's the 150 watt MH lighting that came with it. Right now I have it to turn on at 10 in the morning, then turn off at 6:30. That is 8 hours and 30 min. with the lights on. Too much or too little?

Edit: nope that didnt work. This was a video because I couldn't get a good Pic, maybe that is what's wrong.

Today I got a purple tip frogspawn frag, tri-color candy cane frag, kedd's red zoas, radioactive green zoas, tubs blue zoas, lord of the rings zoas, and another type I cant remember lol. All drip acimilated, and in the tank now with the lights off till tomorrow. Thanks demifelix so much for the corals! Hope to get another vid up too.

Tested my water params with a API test kit (I know they are not that great, but I just wanted an estimated guess, not exact.) I will be taking my water to be tested by a LFS on saturday to get more accurate results though, but here is what my tests said

pH: 8.2
phosphate: 0
Nitrate:0
Nitrite: 0.25
Ammonia: 0.50

The tank has been running now for 4 weeks, should I still have ammonia or am I still cycling? Also will be getting some cheato, fuge light, ATO, and test kits for Ca, Mg, and Alk (red sea, or recommend me another brand).

Looking into getting these fish and inverts for my tank. Any suggestions would be nice.

CN-66284
SW - Flame Angelfish (Christmas/Marshalls)- Small

CN-90066
SW - Yasha White Ray Shrimp Goby (Indonesia)

CN-71146
SW - Firefish, Purple (Maldives)

CN-71133
SW - Firefish (Indonesia)

CN-78361
SW - Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp (Sri Lanka) - Medium

CN-78530
SW - Snapping Shrimp, Red Banded- Tiny

CN-78465
SW - Blood Red Fire Shrimp (Sri Lanka)

id think any would be good..the flame angel is pushing it a bit...would only put maybe one other fish in at that point...they can do well in a biocube but they should have a slightly bigger tank..remember the display in the bio is supposedly only slightly beter than 20 gallons if i remember correctly...plus if you ever plan on keeping sps he may nip at them

Ok, haven't really updated this in a while. Today, I got a coral beauty, 2 sps(not sure of names, but they are acros), red monti, and a nuclear green polyp. Checked my parameters and now nitrate and phosphate and such are nonexistent. Calcium is 420ppm and Alk is 8-9 dKh. Forgot to ask about Magnesium levels(checked the Cal and Alk levels at Rits), but all the corals from demifelix are still doing good, and the clarkiis are doing good too.

Sign up for a google picasa account (http://www.picasa.com">www.picasa.com</a>) and upload your pics there. Once you upload them, click on the pic and on the right side you'll see a link that says 'Link to this photo'. Click that, check the box that says 'image only (no link)', change the drop down to either 'Medium 640' or 'Large 800' and then copy the link. Once you've got it coped you can use the 'insert image' tool on these forums and paste that link.

All there is to it - picasa is awesome :)

Edit: One edit to that:

When you copy the link, copy the URL in the 'Embed Image' field. That way it'll work properly.

Ok, I will try that later today. Also found out that one of the sps frags I got was a green polyp orange birdnest. Looks pretty much the same as the frag on liveaquaria. And the other one is a branching orange montipora frag

Help!! Well the coral beauty died with some type of disease, and gave it to both my clownfish. It looks basically like a film over their scales, and their eyes are now cloudy. I don't think that they are going to live, but I don't want to put new fish in there if it is a type of parasite. I am ordering a UV sterilizer along with the aquatic life skimmer and the filter basket that Hammcd told me to get. If the clownfish die, should I just stick with inverts (because it seems it doesn't effect them) for like a month before I put fish back in there again? Also going to setup a quarintine tank from now on for any new fish.

with all of the stores around us, i dont know why anyone would get fish from petco

Ya no, not from petco. the smaller clownfish died already too, and the bigger one is not that far from it. It really sucks, but I guess I just won't add fish to the tank for a while, and hope rigorous cleaning will get rid of the problem. Also just noticed that my tank has a type of flatworm. They are small and clear, with an orange eye. Under the pests thread in this website, they say they are harmless, but I want other people's opinions on it. I will have pics once I get my new phone, cus my old phone broke which had all the pictures on it.
