Anyone know what kind of algae this is? Thanks
This has appeared in the last couple months, in my temporary holding tank - now my pest tank. No fish, just some leftover coral I didn't transfer to the new tank because aiptasia anemones were present. I'm now seeing how much aiptasia I can grow.

I don't know but I think I might want some :p

Seems to be a harmless calcium absorbing algae from what I'm reading.

Great job, I couldn't find it. Guess I better check my calcium if I want it to live, there's quite a bit and it seems healthy, getting greener. I haven't been testing that tank except alk, and Pratchett ever change any water.

It's definitely a calcium user. Calcium was @450 in January, but shortly after, I had gotten most all the coral I could safely move without aiptasia transferred I just skipped this tank on water changes. After Shawn gave me the ID I checked and calcium was down to 200. Did a big water change, I'll get it back up and keep an eye on it, see how long I can keep it.

That is pretty! One of the cooler looking macros I've seen.
