algea in a fish only

FutureInterest has it right. I have a triggerfish in my tank which most would say would eliminate clean up crew. However this is not exactly true. The large zebra turbos are incredibly strong and can stand up to the triggers pecks. They hole themselves up in the corners of the tank and only come down at night then chow down. I have also had good luck with large Sally Lightfoot crabs and cowries. Urchins are also a possibility but are likely to get picked at. Strawberry hermit crabs are also great scavengers that will help clean up after feeding time to help the nutrient problem causing the algae. Hopefully some of this helped.

I heard Seahares work wonders... and when the problem is gone, you can sell it to the next person who needs it. Yeah, it may be on the glass, but that's really just a temporary thing and in all honesty, would you rather stare at algae for months or a seahare for a couple of weeks?
