Algea in a Predator Tank

Not sure if a dalmation snail is the same thing as a zebra turbo snail... but it sounds similar. My zebra turbo is almost tennis ball sized and its shell is "hella" thick and it sleeps in the same cave as my trigger...

Question: How old are your light bulbs? I had a brown algae spike on my nano, and it went away after I replaced the bulbs. (When old bulbs shift in spectrum towards 'yellow', they can encourage algae growth. Also, any direct sunlight hitting your tank?

FutureInterest, sounds like the same thing to me. They look more like zebra striped than Dalmation colored to me but that is what they called them at CapBay. Either way, those things can really mow down some algae.
