Alien life forms in tank

Can anyone help me identify some weird critters that showed up in my tank? They are made of a bubble ending in a couple of tentacle-like legs. They crawl on the glass and advance by extending the bubble. They can also swim by pulsating the bubble. They are white, grow to be about 1/4 in. Originally I noticed 4, which later on disappeared and an army of babies - looking like miniature adults, about 1 mm., appeared. I have no clue what they are.

I don't think they are planaria. The hydroid link did not really give me anything that looked similar. I am inclined to think they are related to jellies, but that's about as close as I can come. If they grow a little bigger, I will try to get a picture and post it. They sure do multiply fast, though.
