I purchased a seachem alkilinity test kit the box that comes with magnesium and alk testing

Instructions are petty simple fill vial 5ml tank water and 2 drops of first chemical water changes to blue color then fill syringe with 1.0ml and count amount used and watch for color to change from blue to yellow. I've tried this kit about 10 times and have even tested with the sample water included and I don't ever see the water change any color at all?

Kinda frustrating

My kit says one drop of the indicator, but that should matter much, just make a more intense color.

If may be one drop I don't have instructions here in front of me at work right now lol but its a simple kit for a second I was wondering if I'm colorblind from lookin at my leds for too long but my girlfriend couldnt see any colors either lol

It should work... if you tried testing the reference and it didn't work, my suggestion would be to call Seachem - 888-Seachem on Monday, with the lot number for the reagent. They'll either figure out what (if anything) you may be doing wrong, and if there's an issue with the kit itself, they will take care of it for you.

Honestly I use mostly elos test kits and I love the elos kits and that's all I'm buying from now on. I have read the instructions front to back so im pretty confident its the kit. I will call em on Monday and see
