Am I the only one?

Not very often. Generally I remember what I paid for a coral or where I got it, so I price that way or much less. I'm more inclined to give things away or trade.

While I don't always agree with the prices that are assigned to designer corals. I do however think that once a coral has obtained a unique title it should keep it just for lineage. Corals are visually identified by their titles. Such as pink and green SPS, or Strawberry Shortcake. Which description were you able to visualize. I think that calling corals a generic title is likened to naming all of your children human. JMHO.

I would never name all my children "Human". They are all named "Hey You!!!!!". :D

Edit: Besides, naming them "Human" would be false advertising. Kids don't become human until they hit at least 30.

I actually always intend to do this...never has happened though, and at this point probably will not. Especially for the ones I already have - I have trouble remembering who, where, and what :confused2:

I enjoy the name game, especially the unique ones like dragon soul favia and space invaders pectinia. Although, at times it's hard to keep up with.

Nope you are not alone. I know every name of every coral in my 90 and I am setting up a 210 that will be filled by Corals that I will log into memory as well. I will forget the names of my equipment sooner than I will my Coral. I tend to get attached to the Corals that I serve.

Are you referring to designer names or common names? Common names- yes I can name them all.

Designer names- the ones I have, I can name.

I have heard it all. One of my biggest pet peeves when working in the industry was hearing people call corals plants. Most of them STILL call them plants, even after being corrected a few times.

And a few unidentified SPS. I just never really cared, I buy what looks good (but I do make sure my tank can support the species, I just forget about it after that).

+10000000000..... I have several with names. I could care less that it is a "double radio active butt scratcher." I just want the great colors

it dont matter what you call any of them as long as you put Tyree or Aussie in front of it:boo: when trying to sell.

with out names it would be hard to find the exact ones we where looking for.
