An EMERGENCY!!!

Ok, so I have this gorilla crab, that is like chompin on my cabbage leather. The leather is right above the home of my pom pom crab, who is like the tiniest thing on earth. I get home from the meeting, frags in my hand. Go to the tank and..... WHA BAM. My stupid gorilla crab is sittin right on the cabbage leather. So, I try to get it. And of course, it escapes. Ok, so I look in the tank this mornin, and there is my pom pom crab's arm! (Didn't have an anemone on it, but then again, my crab only has one anemone) So then I was like, ok, no biggie. Then, I was like. Omigod. What if the gorilla crab ate my pom pom crab, and left the leg for dessert! So, I panicked. That's why I'm askin this question. Do pom pom crabs shed???? If you need a pic, I can give you one, I just REALLY don't want the little guy to die!!

Don't know about the Pom Pom, but the gorilla is bad news. He needs to be banished... or something more of a long term solution.

you mean molt... inverts shed their skin so more than likely you pom pom has shed its exoskeleton... mine is like the size of a dime... maybe a nickel, i see him on occasion.

good luck getting the gorilla crab out, i would hate to have one

Yes, yes it is. But humor isn't gonna make me feel better. I feel depressed. Ugh! That thing is gonna die a painful death. But there's still a chance my pom pom is alive. And maybe it just shedded. Or got shredded by a king kong crab.

If you catch the gorilla crab I would be more than happy to take it from you so you don't have to kill a crab that is just doing what it does.

OMG! This is so annoying. It turns out, the claw isn't a freakin pom pom leg. It's a blue leg or halloween hermit crab leg. I knew it didn't look like a pom pom leg. I just was like "that's the only crab in this tank....." but I forgot my CUC! Omigod. I am furious with myself.

Do they usually kill them if you take them to the store? If they do, then I will surely give it to you. I feel bad killing it myself, now that I think about it. It wants to live. I would be more than happy to give him to a good home that won't kill him.
