I'm sure you guys are going to yell at me since I have no pictures yet.

Today I picked up a nice anemone crab for my green Haddoni an Nemos.

After I acclimated him I put him in a black plastic cup with some rubble near the carpet, that way he could venture out when he was ready.

I did not want him to go to the BTA's where the clowns live.

Sure enough after the lights have been out he headed straight for the Haddoni carpet. Hopfully he'll stay there and I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I just think the whole nem/hosting thing is cool weather it be clowns or crabs.

Yep, I knew I had that coming. I don't want to jinx it. Let's see if he stays put tomorrow.

Edit: Okay, I don't think he liked it put I snapped a pic. It's completely dark so the picture s poor. The carpet is about 14" when fully opened. In the picture it's probably about 8". You can just see the other nems above with a clown.

I hope the crab stays out during the day. I don't think anyone will mess with him in the carpet.

That same carpet ate a large kole tang and lawnmower blenny the first few weeks. All the other fish seem to keep their distance now.

I remember the postabout the tang,

We need to get a full tank shot now.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I have done some major rearranging the last few months to make room for my larger coral colonies and a new RBTA. I like the way everything is placed and the flow is much better.

The other tangs have a lot more swimming room.

I need to post some pics of my largest two anemones that the clowns host in. I don't know if they are BTA, Sebae, or Long Tentacle. They have a slight green tint but mostly brown. Long tenticles that bubble some times.

I remember last time we were their you sid you were going to tear some rock out. Let me know what style colonys you re looking for. I have 22 in my 90 and my need to start clearing out.

Here are some updated pictures from today. He does not seem to have any intention of leaving the carpet. Not sure the carpet is used to having him there, I see a lot more "flexing" than normal. I did feed the carpet some shrimp meat with no problems. The crap just keeps back near the edges while the carpet eats.

Man the rock work looks so much better, were is the red bubble tip? That crab is to cool!

Thanks.

The small RBTA is near the top of the left tower of rock. The angle of the picture doesn't show it and it is only about 2". It is growing fast and moved to the top and has anchored there for weeks now. I added that tower just for him, it's new so that's why it has no coraline algae on it yet.

The larger RBTA can't be seen in the photo. He moved below the pink birds nest on the back side in partial shade. It's about 4" and feeding well. After another week I am going to place a rock to force him to move to the front and still have partial shade ( or full light).

I have been pleased with the whole acclimation of both RBTA. They both anchored immediately, moved only a few inches and feed aggressively within days and have had excellent color.

It's only been a few weeks so anything could change.

Now I just need to figure a way to add a blue or purple carpet and my plot to take over the world will be complete. (6 months or more away)

Piggy backing with strange crab living situation. Is it unusual for an emerald crab to reside on a toadstool? Very fitting of the crab was a toad, however.
