and what would be the best way to exterminate? the picture is the biggest patch. I could not get better pictures. Ill try to take more if needed for ID.

Based on DrNecropolis' happy fun time with Hydroids, I'd recommend gasoline and a match.

Looks like it's unanimous. Colonial hydroids. If you can find any Keyhole Limpets anywhere, they'll eat them.

what else will the keyhole limpets eat? i have a few hydroids and i want to get them out before it becomes a problem

They're similar to snails. The ones I had back in the day, ate algae off the glass as well.

Looks like nothing else is on that rock. Take it it out and chip them off.
