I got a anemone a few weeks ago and it will not attach to anything in the tank...it eats food and responds to being feed but will not put its foot in the sand or on a rock. does anyone have any suggestions...i know i am not giving enough info but i dont know what you might need. have not been doing this to long.

Tell us a bit about your system. params, lighting, lenth of establishment and we need to know what type of nem it is as well.
Placing him in a bowl with a rock may help if hes drifting and stinging other corals?

he was in my main tank...55 gal reef tank. canister filter. MH 400 and 175, 2 48" ant...when i bought it they said it is a ultra green L.T. Anem. once open it looks more like a rock anem just real green. I moved it to a smaller tank with pc lighting about 10 gal to reduce flow and my Maroon clown trying to push it all around the tank trying to get in it. still no luck. My main tank has been up about a year and my small tank about 6-9 mon.

Try the bowl and a rock to see if he will attach. He should be fine for a week or two with the lower light.
A rock nem looks much different than a LT. can you post a pic?

no chiller...light is self contained with fans and on top of canopy. water temp stays between 78-81 depending on room temp.
